Some of the most unique views of the eclipse came from military pilots flying high above the clouds. These pilots were able to see the eclipse without worrying about weather or clouds blocking their view.
During a routine mid-air refueling mission, crew members on a large military tanker plane took photos of a two-seat fighter jet flying nearby. In the background, the Sun was completely blocked by the Moon, framing the jet against the glowing solar corona.
