Prepper Pickup Lines: Impress at the Apocalypse!

Why should the end of the world mean the end of romance? I started thinking about ways to impress someone when all you’ve got is a bug out bag and a stockpile of beans…and then the prepper pickup lines started popping into my head.

If someone actually used a prepper pickup line on me, I think I’d just about fall over laughing. Can’t believe I never thought about romance in the bunker! Here’s my best shot: “Are you FEMA? Because you just showed up right when I needed you most.” Or maybe, “Call me a rain barrel, ‘cause I can’t contain these feelings for you.” Not sure they’d win me a dance, but they’d sure break the ice at a seed exchange.

Let’s be real, anything beats “Do you come here often?” when you’re crouched next to a rack of canned peaches during a solar flare. Anyone else got some lines involving solar panels or compost bins? I’m trying to work something in like

Now I can’t get the image out of my head of someone winking over a solar panel and saying, “Careful, I’m fully charged and ready to spark a connection.” Or maybe, “My compost bin’s not the only thing that’s hot and steamy right now.” These are cracking me up. Wonder if anyone’s ever actually used one at a bunker potluck?
