🧩 WHICH HEADLINE IS TRUE?
February 11, 2026

Can you spot the real headline? Only one of these is true:

A. "FBI Report: 80% of Americans Have Less Than a Week's Worth of Food Stored in their Homes"
B. "World Health Organization Claims Plastic Containers Increase the Risk of Cancer in Stored Foods"
C. "Doomsday Preppers: 1 in 5 Adults in the US Have a Three-Month Supply of Food Stored in Case of an Emergency"

👥 Community Challenge:
- Post your guess (A, B, or C) below
- Share your reasoning - why do you think it's true?
- Did any of the false headlines trick you? Why did they seem plausible?

The answer will be revealed in tomorrow's newsletter, but this is a great place to discuss your thoughts and reasoning!

Going with A—most folks I know barely have enough for a weekend, nevermind a week! Did anyone else almost pick B because, well, plastic always sounds guilty these days?

Gotta say, A sounds about right to me too. I’d wager most folks don’t have more than a couple frozen dinners and some questionable condiments hiding in the back of the fridge. My neighbors used to laugh at my pantry shelves but they sure don’t mind when I bring over extra jam or beans! B almost got me though—plastic feels guilty until proven innocent these days, doesn’t it? But I feel like if WHO had made a claim like that, it’d be plastered everywhere and I’d have to find new storage bins every other year. C just seems way too optimistic. If 1 in 5 had a solid three-month stash, store shelves wouldn’t look so sad after every snowstorm warning.

Curious if anyone else plays headline games with their family? We do it around the dinner table with crazy library stories, but maybe that’s just me!

A just feels way too accurate—I’ve seen pantries with nothing but ketchup packets and maybe some stale crackers. C made me laugh, though… if 1 in 5 folks had three months of food, my radio wouldn’t be blowing up every time a storm’s in the forecast! Anyone else ever do a sweep and realize you’ve got enough beans for an army but not a single can opener?
