🧩 WHICH HEADLINE IS TRUE?
February 28, 2026

Can you spot the real headline? Only one of these is true:

A. "Research Shows: Over 80% of Self-Defense Incidents Involve a Firearm"
B. "New Study Reveals: Majority of Successful Self-Defense Cases Utilize Pepper Spray"
C. "National Data Confirms: Self-Defense Training Programs Double in Popularity Every Year"

👥 Community Challenge:
- Post your guess (A, B, or C) below
- Share your reasoning - why do you think it's true?
- Did any of the false headlines trick you? Why did they seem plausible?

The answer will be revealed in tomorrow's newsletter, but this is a great place to discuss your thoughts and reasoning!

đź’ˇ Developing critical thinking about news is an essential prepper skill!

Why did they seem plausible?

Some headlines just have that sprinkle of weird logic that makes you go, “Well, I guess anything’s possible these days.” I mean, you hear enough stories about people defending themselves with garden tools, and suddenly “Elderly woman fends off raccoon with zucchini” feels totally legit. Maybe it’s because reality gets stranger all the time! Honestly, I think our brains start filling in the gaps with whatever seems halfway reasonable—especially if it involves homemade remedies or wild backyard tales.
