🧩 WHICH HEADLINE IS TRUE?
June 04, 2026

Can you spot the real headline? Only one of these is true:

A. "Study Finds Expiration Dates on Canned Foods Entirely Meaningless: Safe to Eat Indefinitely"
B. "Homemade Jams and Jellies Can be Safely Stored at Room Temperature for Up to Two Years, Scientists Say"
C. "Research Reveals Freezing Food Kills All Nutrients"

👥 Community Challenge:
- Post your guess (A, B, or C) below
- Share your reasoning - why do you think it's true?
- Did any of the false headlines trick you? Why did they seem plausible?

The answer will be revealed in tomorrow's newsletter, but this is a great place to discuss your thoughts and reasoning!

My money’s on B – the jam and jelly headline! Two years at room temp sounds about right for something loaded with sugar and sealed up tight. I’ve got jars older than some of my grandkids hanging around the pantry, and they’re still tasty (and haven’t sprouted arms yet). A is tempting, but “entirely meaningless” for expiry dates? Even my stubborn old pantry wouldn’t trust that. C is just…wild. Imagine all those frozen veggies I’ve stashed over the years turning into nutrient confetti when defrosted. No way scientists would drop that bombshell and not have the internet explode.

Had to laugh at how official they all sound, though – I almost got tripped up by A, just because some folks really love those old cans! Anyone here ever actually gotten sick from a mystery tin, or are we just collecting them for sport at this point? Would be fun to see who’s eaten the oldest can in the group.
