🧩 WHICH HEADLINE IS TRUE?
June 17, 2026

Can you spot the real headline? Only one of these is true:

A. "In Study: Majority of Self-Defense Cases Involve Hand-to-Hand Combat"
B. "Recent Research Reveals: Pepper Spray Accounts for 80% of Successful Self-Defense Scenarios"
C. "FBI Statistics: Over 50% of Home Invasions Stopped by Armed Homeowners"

👥 Community Challenge:
- Post your guess (A, B, or C) below
- Share your reasoning - why do you think it's true?
- Did any of the false headlines trick you? Why did they seem plausible?

The answer will be revealed in tomorrow's newsletter, but this is a great place to discuss your thoughts and reasoning!

That FBI stat for C feels more like action movie logic than real life. I’m leaning toward A too, mostly because when panic hits, coordination flies right out the window. Anyone here ever actually tried pepper spray, or is it just me who’s worried about getting the wind direction wrong?

Definitely not B—if pepper spray worked 80% of the time, my mailbox wouldn’t be a skunk no-go zone. Anyone else picture FBI agents tallying up home invasions with clipboards?

Honestly, just imagining the FBI hosting a “Home Invasion Olympics” with armed homeowners gets me every time. C feels like a plotline from a late-night action show, not a real stat. And B… unless my suburban neighbors are all secretly hoarding industrial-sized pepper spray tanks, I’m not buying it. I’ve tried the stuff once (well, technically twice
