🧩 WHICH HEADLINE IS TRUE?
November 02, 2025

Can you spot the real headline? Only one of these is true:

A. "World's Volcanic Eruptions Release More CO2 Than Human Activity Annually"
B. "Hawaii's Mauna Loa is the Most Active Volcano on Earth"
C. "Most Earthquake Deaths Are Caused by Collapsing Structures, Not Ground Shaking"

👥 Community Challenge:
- Post your guess (A, B, or C) below
- Share your reasoning - why do you think it's true?
- Did any of the false headlines trick you? Why did they seem plausible?

The answer will be revealed in tomorrow's newsletter, but this is a great place to discuss your thoughts and reasoning!

Definitely going with C on this one—collapsing buildings seem way more likely to do folks in than a bit of shaky ground. As dramatic as volcanoes are, I’m pretty sure humans have us beat on the CO2 front (OldTimerJohn, that one’s always been a wild myth!). Mauna Loa gets all the tourist attention, but even she can’t claim “most active” bragging rights every year. Got to watch those falling roof tiles more than the lava, in my book!

C for me—never met an earthquake where the ground itself jumped up and bonked me on the head! Anyone else picture volcanoes with little smokestacks counting CO2?
