Taking a leaf from my librarian days, it's all about prioritizing and categorizing. In our bug-out bags, rather than stuffing everything possible, we should focus on what's essential and absolutely needed. To be honest, my bag's got a compact first aid kit, reliable firestarter, water purification tabs, few energy bars, a lightweight tarp, and a compact fishing kit. Rest is all a mental game, strategic thinking, and keeping calm under pressure. I suppose adapting to the situation and making do with less is a valuable survival skill in its own right, don't you reckon?
By the way, anyone here come across any novel lightweight solutions to everyday survival problems? Always on the lookout to learn something new!
