Seeking Tips for Winterizing my Off-Grid Homestead

Winter's always a tricky season, especially on my off-grid homestead. I've got the basics covered like insulating the house, stockpiling firewood, storing water and preserving food. But I'm sure there are more aspects I can improve.

Even with heavy insulation, I find parts of the house still get pretty chilly, around windows and doors mainly. Anyone got any suggestions on how to better deal with these drafty areas? Is it just a matter of thicker curtains or are there other solutions out there?

Also, how are y'all handling your power needs in winter? I'm running on solar energy, but with the short days and cloudy skies, there's less sunlight for charging the panels. Any experiences with backup power sources?

Lastly, I've got a small greenhouse where I grow some winter veggies. It does okay, but I've seen greenhouses that produce a lot more in the dead of winter. Any tips to really optimize vegetable growth in a greenhouse during the colder months?

I know it's a lot of questions but I'm just looking to winterize my homestead to the max. Any suggestions or experiences to share?
