Tragic End to Young Life: Celeste Rivas Hernandez's Untimely Demise
The life of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez was tragically cut short due to severe penetrating wounds to her upper body, as revealed by a recently released autopsy report. Celeste's death has since been classified as a homicide.
The Unsettling Discovery
Celeste's remains were found in an appalling state, dismembered and decomposed, inside two bags in the trunk of a parked car in the Hollywood Hills. The autopsy report disclosed "two penetrating wounds of the torso with smooth edges that may represent sharp force injuries." Her liver had been penetrated by one wound in her upper abdomen, while a wound on her left chest had damaged her ribs. The tube top she was wearing had been cut in three places.

Despite the charge of first-degree murder, lewd and lascivious acts with a person under 14, and mutilating a dead body, Burke has pleaded not guilty. The Alleged Motive
Prosecutors believe that Burke ended Celeste's life because she threatened to expose their illegal sexual relationship, which started when she was only 13. Body Examination Details
When the Medical Examiner's investigators arrived at the scene, they discovered Celeste's torso and head in a black body bag in the car's trunk. Her arms and legs were found in a separate trash bag. The state of decomposition was so advanced that her eye color could not be determined. Despite this, certain distinguishing features, such as the braces she had at the time of her death and a discreet "Shhh...." tattoo on the inside of a finger, were identified. The autopsy report indicated a low level of alcohol in the liver, but this was deemed inconsequential as it may have resulted from postmortem chemical changes.
