Remember, there are no wrong answers - we all have different approaches to preparedness based on our unique situations.

Making do with less is something I don't see talked about much—getting creative when you don’t have exactly what you need. Stuff like reusing jars, mending clothes, or even figuring out how to cook with whatever’s left in the pantry has helped me more than I thought it would. Bartering’s another skill I’ve been practicing with neighbors, especially during shortages. Has anyone tried bartering lately for things besides food?

Knowing how to identify wild edible and medicinal plants has probably helped me the most—so many folks overlook what’s growing right under their noses. Ever tried making your own tinctures?

It’s surprising how few people actually practice skills like patient lifting or improvising splints with household stuff—those come in handy way more often than you’d think, especially in home emergencies. BlueHarborTea, totally agree on making do; old sheets turn into bandages or garden ties in a pinch. Also, being able to stay calm and talk others through panic isn’t flashy, but it changes outcomes. Anyone else notice folks freeze up more than expected during drills?
