Totally agree with you, OldTimerJohn - preparedness isn't a 'one-size-fits-all' affair. For instance, living in an urban area, I focus heavily on space-saving solutions like vertical gardening and learning to preserve what I grow. It's never too late to start prepping, and the process gives you a unique perspective on sustainability and resource use. Just remember, anyone new to this, it's okay to go at your own pace!

Absolutely on point with the vertical gardening, BlueHarborTea! In tight urban spaces, it's a real game-changer. I've been experimenting with using window sills for small herb pots too. As for preserving, have you dipped into drying your own herbs yet? It's a delightful ritual of mine and works a treat for flavoring winter meals when fresh isn't an option.
