Rainwater collection is at the top of my list—you’d be surprised how much you can store just off a small shed roof. Keeping a steady supply of homegrown herbs and vegetables, even just window boxes if you’re tight on space, makes a big difference in long-haul scenarios. I also switched over to solar-powered lights and have a rocket stove for cooking. Has anyone tried making their own composting toilet setup? That’s next on my list but I’d love to hear real experiences before diving in.
