Been dabbling in some long-term water storage lately, and I've got a couple of plastic 55-gallon drums all set up. Heard some mixed opinions 'bout adding bleach - is it a must or just optional? Also, any recommendations for storing it underground, or is it safer in a cool, dark place inside the house? Share your two cents

I’ve always added a little bleach just to be safe, since bacteria love sitting water, but it’s not strictly necessary if your drums were sanitized and sealed really well. How long do you plan to store them, ChrysanthiDream?
