Rotated some gear this spring—swapped out the heavy cookset for a lighter titanium one and added more water purification tablets. Anyone else adjusting for weight or new threats this year? Curious what folks are prioritizing given all the supply chain talk lately.

Swapped out some heavier herbal tinctures for dried herbs in small packets—way lighter and just need hot water to use 'em. Also put in an extra pair of good wool socks, never regretted the weight there. The shortages got me thinking, so I added a mini sewing kit and some wild edible ID cards just in case. Anyone else keeping space for foraging gear, or is it just me?

Swapping for lighter gear’s made a big difference for me too—my back just can’t do what it used to. I did tuck in a packable filter straw this time, instead of a pump filter, and a small pouch of heirloom veggie seeds in case I need to plant somewhere. Haven’t tried those cheese bites yet—how’s the texture? Seems

Those little edible ID cards really do come in handy—found wild garlic last spring and it was a surprise! I’ve trimmed my bag a lot this year, swapped the bulky med kit for just the bare basics plus extra tape. Still can’t give up a tiny jar of instant coffee though, even if it means the first aid kit’s not quite as deluxe. Anyone else struggle to balance comfort items with essentials?
