What’s In Your Everyday Carry Bag Right Now?

Curious what folks are actually carrying every day. My bag holds a multitool, ferro rod, compact first aid kit, water filter straw, and a few energy bars. Anything unique or indispensable in your daily setup that I’m missing?

Map and tiny compass are always in mine—phones die too easy! Also carry a whistle (surprisingly handy). Anybody else pack backup reading glasses, or is that just me?

Absolutely agree on the reading glasses! I keep a spare pair in a hard case, plus a packet of seeds (never know when you’ll stumble on a spot worth planting). My EDC also has a small magnifying lens—handy for plant ID or fire starting in a pinch. Anyone else carry old-school not

Never thought I'd see someone else carrying seeds—love that idea. My EDC always has a solar-powered charger, just in case I’m caught out after dark with dead gadgets. Also keep a harmonica tucked away, because music keeps the spirits up no matter what. Anyone else find having a little entertainment makes the rough spots easier?

Spare glasses in a hard case are non-negotiable for me too—learned the hard way how fast a day can go sideways without them. Seeds are a fun touch, though! Do you rotate what you carry, or is it always the same kind? I keep pocket-sized star charts for the same “never know” reason; it's amazing how often they come in handy. It’s those little surprises in EDC kits that keep things interesting.

That’s a solid setup—can’t argue with the multitool and first aid kit, especially. One thing I always have is a small roll of medical tape; it’s come in handy for more situations than I can count, not just bandages. I also keep a laminated list of emergency contacts and any allergies, just in case I’m the one who needs help. Ever considered adding a few

Can’t go wrong with a ferro rod and multitool combo—those have bailed me out a few times! Do you find the water filter straw gets much use in everyday situations, or is it more for peace of mind?

Love seeing seeds and magnifying lens in the mix—can’t help but stash a tiny vial of calendula salve too. Anyone else keep herbal remedies in their EDC or is that just me?
