Curious what folks here are keeping in their EDC bags these days. I always carry a multitool, compact flashlight, tourniquet, and a small water filter, but wondering if there’s something I’m missing. Anything you consider essential that’s overlooked?

You’ve covered most of my basics, but I never leave home without a sturdy bandana—so many uses from makeshift filter to sling or just sweat rag. I also tuck in a pencil and tiny notepad since I’m always jotting things down, especially trail observations. Lately, I added a whistle and a few packets of honey for quick energy. Anyone else carry food items or snacks in their EDC, or am I overdoing it?
