What’s In Your Go-Bag That Others Forget?
Been going through my go-bag again and realized there are a few items I rarely see mentioned in packing lists. For example, I always pack a pair of sturdy reading glasses (plus a backup in a hard case). Not much point in a first aid kit or field manual if I can't read the tiny print without squinting! I also tuck in a little laminated card with emergency contacts and any important medical info—easy to hand off to a responder if I'm not able to talk.
Another thing: extra batteries for hearing aids, if you use them. Sometimes we focus so much on the basics (water, food, shelter) that the little things that make survival manageable get overlooked. Anyone else include their own “non-essentials” that would actually be a game changer in a real emergency? Maybe something personal, or something that’s saved your skin
