Looking back over the years, I’ve realized there are always a few things you just don’t think about until they’re suddenly impossible to find. For me, it was canning lids—regular and wide mouth. I always thought I had enough, but when the shortages hit a couple years back, they disappeared fast and didn’t come back for months.
