What’s One Prep Item You’d Never Go Without?
If I had to pick just one item I’d never go without, it’d be my Berkey water filter. Over the years, I’ve found creative ways to make do without a lot of things, but safe water isn’t something I’ll gamble with. Even if you’ve got stacks of canned goods or a well-stocked root cellar, contaminated water can take you out fast. After trying boiling, iodine tablets, and those pump filters, nothing matches the simplicity and reliability of gravity-fed stainless steel filters for me.
Curious what everyone else here would choose as their absolute must-have? I know opinions vary—a good knife, fire starter, or reliable radio might top someone else’s list.
