What’s One Prep You Wish You’d Started Sooner?

Looking back, I really wish I’d started seed saving much earlier. Learning to collect and store seeds from my own garden has given me a sense of control over food security that store-bought packets never did. Took me years to realize how valuable this skill really is—especially as supply chains get shakier. What’s the one prep you wish you’d prioritized sooner? Curious if others
 
Water storage and purification is the one I wish I’d tackled much earlier. Took for granted for years that the tap would always work, but it really doesn’t take much—one big storm, or a broken pipe, and you realize how dependent you are! Figuring out how much water you actually go through in a week is an eye-opener. I started with a few jugs tucked in the back room, and now I’ve got rain barrels, extra filters, and a routine for rotating stored water. Of course, my first attempts at DIY filters were kind of a mess, but you learn! There’s comfort knowing I can handle at least the basics if things get tight.
