What’s One Prep You Wish You’d Started Sooner?

Wish I’d started building up my water storage a lot earlier. It’s easy to stock food, but clean water takes up space and requires more planning. Water filters and rain catchment are great, but they’re not instant solutions when supply goes down. Has anyone else underestimated their water preps in the beginning? Would love to hear what you wish you’d started sooner and how you fixed it.

Absolutely relate to the water issue—it crept up on me, too. Focused so much on canning and food storage, I figured I’d just fill the tub if things got serious. Big mistake! Now I keep several barrels in the garage and started experimenting with DIY filters. Anyone tried storing water in glass instead of plastic? Curious if there’s much of a difference long term.
