What’s One Prep You Wish You’d Started Sooner?

Wish I’d started building up a proper rainwater catchment system years ago—feels like I’m just catching up now. Anyone else regret not getting on a particular prep sooner? Curious what’s at the top of your “should’ve done it earlier” list.

Getting serious about canning and food preservation sooner is my big one. Only started after retirement, and wow, wish I’d built up that stockpile years back when the garden was really pumping. Feels like I missed out on so much—plus, homemade stuff tastes way better. Anyone else find a certain skill just clicked later in life?

Totally get that—food preservation is something I wish I’d taken seriously a lot earlier too.
