What’s Your Go-To Backup Power Source?
I’ve tried quite a few options for backup electricity, but I keep coming back to a combination of solar panels and a small generator. Solar works well for basic needs—lights, comms, keeping some meds cold—but cloudy stretches really test the limits. The generator is reliable but fuel storage is always a concern, and I worry about noise if things go sideways or it’s an extended outage.
