If you had to grab just one item when bugging out, what would it be? I keep leaning toward my Sawyer Mini but sometimes wonder if a sturdy fixed blade might be smarter. Curious what others prioritize when seconds count.

First thing I grab is my water filter every time, no contest. There’s just no easy substitute if you’re on foot and moving fast—boiling takes time you might not have, and rivers aren’t always friendly.
