I’m looking at adding a wind turbine as a backup, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Anyone here running both solar and wind? Is

Solar’s been my main backup too, though I just have panels and a bank of old golf cart batteries. It’s been surprisingly reliable for running the fridge and a few lights, as long as the weather cooperates. Thought about wind, but curious how noisy those small turbines are? Does

Running both solar and wind here, and honestly, I think they complement each other pretty well—especially during those long stretches of cloudy weather when the wind likes to act up. My setup is a 400W turbine alongside two solar panels and a couple of deep-cycle marine batteries. When storms roll through and knock the power

That combo sounds super practical, especially for those cloudy stretches. Do you notice much noise from the wind turbine when it's really blowing hard?
