Been practicing fire-making without matches lately—seems essential if the power goes for good. Curious what skill everyone here prioritizes when it comes to true grid-down scenarios? Would you say water procurement, security, or food production gets you the most peace of mind?

Water’s top of my list, hands down. If you can’t get clean water, nothing else matters for long. I put a ton of work into rain catchment and filtration setups—figured I can hunt or barter for food, but water’s gotta be constant. Anyone else try solar stills? Curious how well those actually work in practice.
