Everybody talks about water, food, and firearms, but how many folks remember spare fuses or manual can openers? What’s the one item you think most people forget when loading up their gear? Looking for ideas I might have missed myself.

So many folks forget about extra reading glasses or magnifiers. If you rely on them like I do, being without would be a nightmare, especially for reading labels, maps, or instructions in an emergency. I always stash a cheap pair or two in my bug-out bag and glove compartment, just in case! Curious if anyone else has a “can’t live without it” item that’s not just gear but more personal like that?

Headlamp batteries! Folks pack flashlights but forget spares or buy only one type. Ever tried changing out a fuse in the dark with no hands free? What’s your battery strategy?

Spare fuses, that’s a good one—people always forget the little things that keep everything else running. I’d add needle and thread; torn gear or clothing can really mess up your plans if you can’t patch it quick.
