Dental supplies always seem to get bumped down my list, but a toothache in a crisis could be miserable. Anyone else forget the little things like that? What’s the one prep item you think most folks overlook or underestimate?

Always forget about good old-fashioned spare eyeglasses—can’t spot danger or read instructions if you’re half-blind. Ever tried prepping with blurry vision?

Totally agree about the dental stuff—people really underestimate how hard it is to function if you've got a raging toothache or lost filling. One I hardly ever see mentioned is heavy-duty work gloves. Not your thin gardening ones, but the sturdy kind you’d use for clearing debris, hauling firewood, or handling hot pans. My neighbor learned this the hard way after a tornado when she got all sorts of cuts and splinters just moving wood and glass.

I’d also add backup chargers for hearing aids if you use them—my brother-in-law
