It’s funny how easy it is to focus on the big stuff—water, food, flashlights, and so on—but I keep wondering about the basics that slip through the cracks until it’s too late. For me, I realized I hadn’t stocked up nearly enough on things like manual can openers. Not glamorous, but if you’re relying on canned goods, you don’t want to be stuck with just one or worse, none that work properly. I’ve since bought a couple spares for the kitchen and the bug-out bags.
