What’s Your Most Overlooked Prep Item?
Was going through my gear the other night and started thinking about the supplies that don’t get much love. Everyone talks about food, water, ammo, and first aid kits, but there’s always that one thing you’re glad you packed when things go sideways. For me, it’s spare batteries for the small stuff—like my weather radio, LED headlamp, and even my old metronome (can’t play in the dark if I can’t keep time). Solar panels get a lot of focus, but sometimes a simple AA or AAA battery can save the day, especially if you’re dealing with cloudy days or your charging setup fails.
