Seems like everyone focuses on food and water, but I rarely see folks mention heavy-duty work gloves. In a real emergency, protecting your hands is essential. What’s the most useful but overlooked item you keep in your preps?

For me, it’s a good quality manual can opener. You’d be amazed how many people forget it until they’re staring at a bunch of canned food and nothing to open it with. Also, I keep a stash of extra prescription glasses—my eyesight isn’t what it used to be, and I don’t want to fumble around in a crisis. Curious if anyone has actually needed their backup glasses during an emergency, or is it just me who’s paranoid about that?
