What’s Your Top 3 Must-Have Prepping Items?

If you had to narrow it down to just three, which prepping items would make your essential list? For me it's a water filtration system, LED lantern, and a solid multitool. Curious to see what others prioritize when space and weight are limited.

Water filter’s at the top of my list too—clean water’s non-negotiable. Next would be a sturdy fixed-blade knife (never could get used to multitools for everything) and a portable solar charger for small electronics or radios. Funny how paring it down makes you really think about what’s truly essential. Anybody else ever struggle choosing between first aid and fire starters for that third pick?

Haven't found a compact fire starter that truly lasts yet—magnesium blocks wear faster than they claim. Ever try the UCO strike-anywhere matches? They're surprisingly durable if you keep 'em dry.
