So many lists focus on the big stuff—water, food, first aid—but I feel like folks tend to overlook spare eyeglasses or reading glasses. Absolutely agree—nail clippers are a must. I also always pack tweezers; nothing like a splinter messing up your day. Do you ever keep a little sewing kit too?
 
Wind-up alarm clock is my “forgotten” item. Most people rely on their phones, but if you lose electricity or need to save battery, you’ll want a way to keep track of time. Oh, a split nail is the worst, especially when you’re working with your hands all day! I always stash a couple nail clippers (the big kind and the little ones) in my kit for that exact reason.
