What’s Your Top Priority If SHTF Tomorrow?
If we woke up tomorrow and everything had gone sideways—power out, stores empty, communications down—what’s the very first thing you’d focus on? Not your long-term plan, but that immediate next 24-48 hour window. For me, securing water is number one. Even with a good supply on hand, I’d be checking collection systems, rain barrels, and the well. Making sure filtration and purification methods are set up and ready.
After that it’s perimeter checks and confirming all animals are sheltered. I know food is important, but you can ride out hunger a bit longer than dehydration, especially if things are chaotic and you don’t know how long until stability returns.
Curious what others prioritize first. Do you go for security, reach out to neighbors, check the news, or something else entirely? Also interested if anything
