Wild Edibles: Whats In Your Survival Garden?

Been thinking a lot about survival gardens lately, specifically wild edibles. Got dandelions and plantains right at my doorstep and those are dynamite for salads and soups. Even put lamb's quarters to use as a spinach substitute. Wondering, what other wildlings might you guys have growing in your survival garden? How do you use 'em in your cooking?

Kudos on the dandelions and plantains, OrbitJazz21! Had success myself with purslane and chickweed, tough little guys that can pretty much grow anywhere. They're packed with vitamins and add a nice crunch to salads. For cooking, have you ever tried stinging nettle? Once you get past their, well, sting, they're superb for soups and stews. How about you, tried any non-traditional greens in your dishes?

Lamb's quarters as a spinach substitute, you say? That's ingenious, OrbitJazz21. I've used it occasionally in salads, but haven't tried cooking it. Makes me wonder how it would fare in a quiche or a veggie stir-fry. Ever tried it in either of those recipes? Would be interested in the taste and texture! And MarigoldBreeze, stinging nettle in a stew sounds interesting too, might give that a try next.
