Curious what items folks tend to forget about in their kits—personally, I always overlook extra manual can openers. What’s that one thing you wish you’d remembered to stash, or discovered you needed only after the fact?

I’ve missed the extra can opener, too—nothing more frustrating than having all those cans and no way in! For me, it’s usually spare reading glasses. I keep thinking I’ve got a pair in each bag, but sure enough, I’ll end up squinting and fumbling when it counts. I also tend to forget about extra batteries for simple things like flashlights. Funny how it’s always the little necessities that slip by while we’re stocking up on the big stuff.
