Gotta go with A! That “rule of threes” is about the only math I still remember without grabbing my reading glasses, ha! 3 minutes without air, 3 hours without shelter (especially if it’s freezing or boiling), 3 days without water, and 3 weeks without food. Always cracks me up imagining lugging around three sets of everything like some kind of survival octopus, so B is a solid nope from me.

Learned the shelter part the hard way during a camping trip gone sideways—woke up to tent flapping in the wind, rain pouring, and by noon I was a shivering prune. Built myself a “deborah-cave” out of emergency blankets and sticks, and you better believe I appreciated that shelter rule!

Anyone ever actually try to go three days without water? I’d cave on day one and make sun tea outta puddle water if I had to. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve built as shelter

“Survival octopus” had me laughing—imagine juggling three radios, three tents, and three cans of beans! Ever tried making a shelter out of just tarps and duct tape?

Now I’m picturing all of us as survival octopuses, arms everywhere holding flashlights and granola bars—love it! The “rule of threes” always makes me chuckle too, especially the bit about food. I couldn’t make it three days without my morning coffee, let alone three weeks without food. OldTimerJohn, as for your bonus challenge, my weirdest shelter was a pile of raked-up leaves under a picnic table—less “Bear Grylls,” more “sleepy raccoon,” but at least I stayed warm!
