Stainless steel or glass containers are my go-to for long-term storage—easy to clean and no plastic taste. I always pre-boil tap water, let it cool completely, then fill up the jars or jugs. Keep them in a cool, dark spot to slow down any algae growth. UV light works in a pinch but isn’t my top choice for big batches—too fiddly. Curious, AquaFern1028, have you considered rainwater collection if you’re open to a bit of extra filtering?
