The pouch on mine is still holding up after a summer of use, but I’ve mostly kept to light items—granola bars, a mini first aid kit, sometimes fruit. Haven’t pushed it with anything sharp or especially heavy. I could see it stretching out if you overload it, though. Sewing in a canvas liner actually sounds like a practical fix—almost like giving the chair a second life, especially if you’re planning on heavy use. Haven’t tried it myself, but I might root around my fabric stash and give it a go if the seams ever start looking dodgy.
