Best Practical Skills to Learn for Real-World Emergencies?

If you could only pick three practical skills to master for real emergency scenarios, which would you choose? I’m thinking herbal medicine, basic first aid, and water purification, but curious what others consider most vital. Anything often overlooked that’s been a game-changer for you?

First aid definitely tops my list too—being able to handle injuries or sudden illness right away makes a huge difference. After that, I’d actually say fire-making without matches or lighters. You’d be surprised how tough it is under stress, and it’s needed for warmth, cooking, even signaling. For an often-overlooked skill, I'd say sewing or mending gear/clothes. Torn pack or jacket in bad weather? That can turn into a real problem fast. Anyone else found sewing more useful than expected?
