Best Skills to Learn for Total Self-Sufficiency?

Been thinking about what it would really take to be fully self-sufficient if things went sideways for the long haul. Everyone talks about food storage and water filtration, but beyond the basics, what actual hands-on skills would you say are absolutely critical? Obviously, things like gardening, animal husbandry, and first aid come to mind, but are there other overlooked skills you’d put high on the list?

For example, I’ve focused a lot on radio comms and feel confident there, but realize that’s just one piece of the puzzle. Repairing and maintaining tools and equipment, small engine repair, maybe even basic dentistry or mid-level medical skills—how far down the rabbit hole should we go?

Would like to hear what skills other folks are prioritizing, especially ones that don’t get talked about as much. If you’ve got resources or training recommendations, that’s even better. Also curious if anyone has found a good way to practice and keep these skills sharp over time. It’s one thing to learn in theory but another to maintain that know-how year after year.
