Getting serious about long-term water storage lately and wondering what methods folks here rely on most. I’ve been using food-grade barrels with a touch of bleach for years, but I’m starting to wonder if there are better or more sustainable options. Does anyone have experience with UV sterilization or special filters for storage? How often are you rotating your supplies, and do you add anything besides bleach to keep water safe? I stick with food-grade barrels too but swap out water every six months—bleach works, but I’ve started experimenting with colloidal silver drops instead; anyone else tried that for keeping water fresh longer?
