Best Ways to Store Water Long-Term Without Chemicals

Looking to store water long-term, but I want to avoid using bleach or any other chemicals if possible. I've read about using glass or food-grade plastic containers, but not sure how well water keeps just by boiling and sealing it. Are there certain containers or methods that really work best for keeping water safe over a year or more, without additives? Would love to know what others have tried and what kind

Glass jugs work really well if you’ve got the space and can keep them out of sunlight. I boil the water, let it cool, then pour it in and seal tight—usually with new lids to avoid any contamination. If you can store them in a cool, dark spot, I’ve had water stay fresh a year or more this way. Anybody here tried clay or ceramic containers for this? I’ve been curious if they’d work just as well.
