Three people, OldTimerJohn? That’s pretty specific—are we expecting to form a search party or just want to make sure someone brings snacks? I usually make sure at least somebody knows where I’m off to, but if I told three people every time, they’d start sending me packing lists or, worse, following me with binoculars. That said, it’s not a bad rule if you’ve got three folks who haven’t heard your “canoe stuck in a beaver dam” story for the tenth time. I’ll stick with B just to shake things up, since my brother and neighbor always forget what I told them anyway. Maybe the real survival skill is remembering who you told and making sure they didn’t wander off to the bingo hall. Either way, as long as someone knows where you’re headed, you’ve already outsmarted most bad sitcom plots!
