How Much Food Should I Really Be Stockpiling?
Every time I look at my pantry, I wonder if I’m overdoing it or not doing enough. There’s so much advice out there—some say 3 months, others shoot for a full year. Realistically, how much food are you all actually storing per person? I’m trying to balance calorie needs with space and shelf life, and would really appreciate some guidance from folks who’ve figured out a practical system. Anyone have recommendations for how to calculate the “right” amount, or tips for keeping rotation manageable?
