How Much Food Should I Really Store Per Person?
I've read a lot of different recommendations—some say store a year’s worth of food per person, others go with just a few months. How do you all decide what’s actually realistic for long-term storage? Do you calculate by calories, or just shelf-stable bulk items? I’m always worried about missing essential nutrients if I just stock up on rice and beans. Would love to hear what’s worked (or not worked) for folks who’ve had to dip into their stash for real.
