Definitely backpack! Though I admit, if I tried to say ā€œBSAKCPCAKā€ out loud, it’d sound like I was sneezing. Bonus points for whoever invented zippers, too—backpacks would be a lot less handy without them. Mine tends to be less ā€œmilitary-grade bug outā€ and more ā€œgrandma-with-too-many-seed-packets,ā€ but it still

Nothing says ready-for-anything quite like a good old backpack—unless you count the time I tried to repurpose a laundry basket with bungee cords. (Didn’t end well. Those socks never stood a chance!) If we had to tie everything up with shoelaces or string, I’d probably still be trying to get my pack open from last spring. Whoever invented zippers probably deserves a preparedness merit badge of their own. Now
