Maximizing Garden Yield for Long-Term Survival: Tips and Tricks?
Been tinkering with my survival garden lately, trying to up my yield for long-haul scenarios. Figured out a few things about companion planting, crop rotation, and heirloom seeds. But I'm still a bit puzzled on how to maximize the production in a limited space.
Any of you pros have a good method to escalate the output while minimizing the space? Do vertical gardens work as good as they sound or is it just some sort of trendy thing?
Also, tackling another beast: pest management. Been bouncing between natural repellents and biological controls, but haven't landed on a solid strategy yet. What's worked best for you?
And for a radio guy like myself, I'm wondering how you all keep track of what you're planting, where, and when? Is there a good system or tool that helps with garden organization and crop management from year-to-year?
