One thing I always make room for is a small, collapsible flower press. Might sound odd, but hear me out—pressing fresh herbs and wildflowers while on the move lets me gently dry plants for teas, poultices, or even just a bit of calming scent in rough situations. It weighs almost nothing and tucks between layers easily. I’ve used it to save dandelion leaves or yarrow from a walk, and even once managed to dry some plantain
